Christmas Kick-off!

Since we are never in the same place for Christmas, we started a family tradition that takes place throughout the month of December, starting with our Christmas Kickoff.

Every year on or around Dec. 1st, we set up our 2 foot Christmas tree and the kids put their ornaments up. We have a simple dinner of potato soup and rolls, change into our new Christmas jammies and tell the nativity story while setting up our nativity set.

Then each night until Christmas, we pick a different christmas book to read. After we have read it, it goes into a basket and the kids love to look at and read them throughout the month.
